Red Dead Redemption 2 is by far one of 2018’s best games! The story and characters made feel things I haven’t felt since Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us.
It was one of those games that once the credits rolled, made you want to pick it back up and start the game all over again. That’s quite the accomplishment in it’s self.
With that said, there’s also a lot going on in that vast open-world and that’s what we are going to be talking about today.
Rockstar Games packed a lot into that huge map to bring the Old West to life. Along with the numerous wildlife animals, strange cults, various gangs and the occasional guy who somehow got his leg caught in a steel jaw trap, here are 5 things you may have missed in Red Dead Redemption 2.
**The rest of this post may contain some spoiler material for Red Dead Redemption 2. If you don’t want to be spoiled, play the game, come back and find out what you may have missed!**
1. UFO’s… Again
Well, in true Rockstar fashion fans will be happy to know that UFO’s have made a return in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Easily missed if your not looking for it, to find the other worldly creatures you will need to head Northeast. Specifically you need to head Northeast of the second N in New Hanover.
While traveling in this direction you should come across a lake, once there head into the cabin. Inside you will find skeletons and a mysterious letter which states that the “other beings” will be returning at 2 A.M. Return to the cabin at this time and you will see UFO’s appear above the cabin!
2. Flying Machine
Another flying object you can find in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is that of a failed flying contraption. Abandoned in the woods north of Big Valley is what appears to be a failed attempt at building an airplane. Presumably this is one of the planes built by the Wright Brothers who started building their first planes back in 1899.
Bigfoot is as common a reference in Rockstar titles as the UFO’s. Ever since GTA: San Andres fans of Rockstar have hunted high and low for the elusive creature.
That continues in Red Dead Redemption 2! However, it seems that Bigfoot has unfortunately met his end as all you will be able to find is his skeleton.
To find his remains head to the top of the letter “T” in Mount Shann which is located within West Elizabeth and pay your respects to the notorious Sasquatch.
4. The Outhouse
Not one to shy away from the damn right creepy. Rockstar have added possibly one of the weirdest things I have come across in their games. I actually saw this one in a YouTube video and checked it out for myself.
If you head to Braithwaite Manor and travel along the coast you will find an outhouse. Not to bad so far… However, this particular outhouse has been chained shut. Upon closer inspection you hear a woman’s voice coming from inside. Once close enough, she will reach out for you with her hand going utterly insane and crazily reciting random numbers over and over again.
Gamer’s have been trying to figure out if these numbers mean anything. Could they lead you somewhere? Is there more to this story? Do they mean anything? Or is this just the ramblings of an insane woman? No one truly knows.
5. The Ghost of Agnes Dowd
Finishing off this list is another creepy, weird and well just poop your pants scary Easter Egg . If you head between the “B” and “L” letters of Bluewater Marsh between 9pm and 3am you will come across The Ghost of Agnes Dowd.
Trust us when we say you will know when you’re close! Suddenly fog will appear all around you. Then you will begin to hear a woman’s voice calling out. She will be saying things like “I miss you” and “I’m waiting for you” in a bone chilling tone as if speaking to a lost lover. For those brave enough you can try to find her ghost, definitely worth it if you don’t mind losing sleep!
