Sony have announced that the much loved PlayStation One will be coming back into our lives, and sooner than you think!

The console that changed the face of gaming, while also cementing itself in households all over the world is back. After almost 25 years, here is everything you need to know about the PlayStation Classic.

PlayStation Classic

Aptly named, the very first PlayStation console is truly a classic!

According to Sony, the PlayStation Classic is about 45% smaller than the original. The console itself, looks almost completely identical to it’s counterpart. It will feature similar controllers and packaging too. Once you get inside the box you can expect the console, 2 controllers, 1 HDMI cable, 1 USB cable.

Pre-Loaded Games.

Sony have stated that the games available for the PlayStation Classic will come in their original formats. Meaning all games will look and play as they did when they were first released for the PlayStation. Bring on the nostalgia!

While Sony have yet to reveal a full list of pre-loaded games for the PlayStation Classic. Here are the currently confirmed titles you can expect to see.

  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Jumping Flash
  • Ridge Race Type 4
  • Tekken 3
  • Wild Arms

Cost and Release Date

The PlayStation Classic will be available for purchase on 3rd December 2018 in the UK. The console will cost £89.99. The PlayStation Classic is available for pre-order at Game right now.
